के हो सुनौला हजार दिन ?

कुपोषण हटाउने उद्देश्यले गर्भवती र दुई वर्षमुनिका बच्चाहरूलाई लक्षित गरी युएसएआइडीको लगानीमा ६ वर्षदेखि यो कार्यक्रम सञ्चालनमा छ । सुरुमा सेभ द चिल्ड्रेनअन्तर्गत सञ्चालनमा रहेको यो कार्यक्रम अहिले हेलेन केलर इन्टरनेसनलले सञ्चालन गरिरहेको छ । गर्भावस्थाको ९ महिना अर्थात् २ सय ७० दिन र बच्चा जन्मेको २ वर्ष अर्थात् ७ सय ३० दिनको अवधिलाई सुनौलो हजार दिन (आमा र बच्चाको गोल्डेन डे) भनिन्छ । युएसएआइडीले पहिलो कार्यक्रममा सेभ द चिल्ड्रेनमार्फत दोलखाको ग्रामीण विकास टुकी संघसँग समन्वय गरी सञ्चालन गरेको थियो भने अहिले स्थानीय संस्था टुकी संघ नै रहने गरी हेलेन केलर इन्टरनेसनलमार्फत दोलखामा सञ्चालन गरिरहेको छ । अन्य केही जिल्लामा भने विश्व बैंकको सहयोगमा स्थानीय विकास मन्त्रालयमार्फत पनि सञ्चालन भइरहेको छ ।
